What endowments can do

Ivy League schools have multi-billion dollar endowments. The interest from these funds allows them to find cures for diseases, create the newest technologies, and students don’t have to delay or give up on their education because of a lack of funds. More than anything else, endowments are the force that has driven these schools to world prominence.

Our Dream

Our dream

Ivy Leaguers have a lot going for them, but we are privileged with a special area of study: the person, the example, and the teachings of Christ. At La Sierra, we take God at His word when He says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Our dream for our students is to master the knowledge of worldly matters, yet secure that priceless gift of eternal life.

For His glory

For His glory

Imagine what we could do with a stronger endowment. We could welcome students who long for a Christian higher education but who are unable to afford it. We could push the boundaries of science and claim the discoveries for God’s glory. Our students would have more opportunities to learn, create and serve. Best of all, heaven will be a more congested neighborhood.

Give once, reward for eternity

Give once, reward for eternity

Endowments are already doing a lot of good at La Sierra. In 2013, over 200 endowed scholarships awarded $350,000 to 237 students. That’s $350,000 those students can use to remain in Christian higher education, start a business, get married, pay for grad school or pay off student loans. Imagine the extra opportunities our students would enjoy if we could award even more.

Starting an endowment or giving to existing endowments is one of the best ways you can ensure the future of Adventist education. Please consider giving today.
